Notes:

1. Deployment on ALOHA Cabled Observatory

3. Instruments:
   1. SBE37s (two of them)
   2. Array of thermistor SBE39s (10 of them inductively)
   3. ADCP (Sontek 250kHz), probably be getting an RDI deep water monitor
   4. BB2F
   5. Two hydrophones (probably not managed through SIAM and SSDS)
   6. One video camera (not defined), assume video servers (probably not managed through SIAM and SSDS).
4. They connect instruments to serial port terminal server (digi 4 port server).
5. The deployment will be at 5000m depth
6. They would like to use SSDS to do data management
7. Would like to use SIAM to communicate with sensors.
8. DataTurbine is of interest to the ALOHA guys and they would use it.
9. They do not have PUCKs on their instruments, we said no problem.
10. They are interested in Adaptive Sampling (automated).
    1. We felt this might be a good opportunity to get a constrained, real-world use case for adaptive sampling.
11. They were interested in documentation for SIAM and its integration with DataTurbine
12. Sample rates for instruments on average around once a minute (or a little less).
13. Bob (for SIAM) and Kevin (for SSDS) will be the points of contacts for MBARI<->ALOHA interactions.

Timeline:

More details to come from ALOHA group, but some timeline notes:

1. Ship time is January
2. They want test system in lab ASAP (they actually have some of it running currently)

Action Items:

1. Kevin will look back and try to get SSDS install going again on kainani.
2. ALOHA group will send Bob information about instruments (IP addresses, etc.)
3. Bob will look into getting SIAM running against their instruments.
4. ALOHA group will work on generating a timeline with milestones like code freeze, integration and test, etc.

NOTE: As long as the time is not huge, we can charge to TTOS.
